YLAND Farming Guide
Install Metamask
The most convenient way to farm YLAND is to use Metamask, which directly interfaces with the Yland farming website. If you are not yet using Metamask, we recommend you download and install Metmask before proceeding to the next step in this guide.
There are other means to achieve farming, but this guide does not cover those methods. Feel free to farm YLAND by any means preferable. This article will focus solely on farming Yland via Metamask.
Buy YLAND & ETH
To farm yLAND tokens, farmers will need to possess both YLAND and ETH. The ratio of ETH: YLAND will be determined by Uniswap at the time farmers add to the liquidity pool on Uniswap. If you do not already have YLAND and/or ETH, we recommend buying either one of the pair from the ETH-YLAND contract on Uniswap.
Farmers will receive confirmation from Metamask that the transaction has successfully completed (or possibly failed). When the confirmation message has been received, farmers can proceed to the next step of the guide.
Add YLAND & ETH to the Uniswap Pool
After purchasing ETH and YLAND from Uniswap, farmers can begin the process of depositing their ETH & YLAND to the Uniswap ETH-YLAND liquidity pool. The more ETH & YLAND a farmer adds to the Uniswap ETH-YLAND liquidity pool, the more farming rewards they will receive while farming. As a reminder, Uniswap will determine the appropriate ratio of ETH:YLAND and this is not a calculation required by the farmer.
Farmers will receive confirmation from Metamask that the transaction has successfully completed (or possibly failed). When the confirmation message has been received, farmers can proceed to the next step of the guide.
Upon successful completion of this transaction, farmers will receive a Uniswap V2 ETH-YLAND LP token in their depositing address.
Visit the yLand Farming Website
Once a farmer has added liquidity (ETH & YLAND from the previous step), the farmer can visit the yLAND farming website and redeem the Uniswap liquidity provider tokens received from depositing ETH & YLAND on Uniswap.
From the yLAND farming website, farmers can finalize the process of registering as a yLAND farmer and join the farming community.
Stake
The image below shows the yLAND farming user interface (UI), which is intuitive and simple to interact with.
Simple press the ‘Stake’ button on the UI and a staking transaction will be created in Metamask. Approve the transaction on Metamask and confirm the transaction for processing. Once the transaction has completed, Metamask will provide farmers with a notification the transaction has been successful.
After this step has been completed, farmers can observe their YLAND farming rewards balance in real-time in the ‘yLand Rewards’ window on the yLAND farming UI.
When a farmer wants to harvest yLAND farming rewards, farmers can push the ‘Withdraw Rewards’ button and withdraw only the YLAND rewards accrued during the farming period. Using the ‘Withdraw Rewards’ button will not end a farmer’s participation, but will rather collect the farming rewards.
If a farmer wants to end farming, farmers should use the ‘Unstake’ button, which will withdraw the farmer’s rewards and the Uniswap liquidity provider token from the farming platform and return them to the farmer’s Metamask wallet.
